Where Stillness Decides

There are figures

who do not turn toward the world,

but toward what reflects it.

Not in retreat,

but in knowing.

Water does not answer.

It does not explain.

And yet,

it holds a truth

no voice can carry.

Some presences

refuse to be witnessed loudly.

They exist

in the quiet authority

of someone

who no longer seeks confirmation.

No gesture is made.

No claim is offered.

And still,

something settles in the air—

as if the moment itself

recognizes

what stands before it.

Because not all strength

declares itself.

Some of it

simply remains.
