We are in 2026.
And still, in the evening news,
we hear the same fractured voices.
Women crying for a way out.
For safety.
For the right to exist without fear.
They are not always beaten.
But they are contained.
In fear.
In threats.
In silence.
What outrages me
is not only the violence itself,
but how it is handled.
Filed away.
Delayed.
Placed inside a box of forgetting.
Women still do not come forward.
Not because they are weak,
but because they are realistic.
Because threats are not words.
They are promises.
And yes
this must be said clearly:
men, too, live in violent relationships.
Men are also abused, humiliated, controlled.
By female partners.
But this reality is silenced.
Because it does not fit the narrative.
Because shame is louder than bruises.
Violence has no gender.
It has a pattern.
And victims do not need propaganda
they need protection.
As long as we decide
whose pain is heard
and whose pain disappears,
we are not creating safety
we are creating repetition.
This does not require louder campaigns.
It requires real structures.
Immediate protection.
Accessible help.
And a society
that looks without turning away.
Those who remain silent today
leave someone imprisoned tomorrow.
