The moment one man tries to flush his jealousy — literally.
The curtain rises on Karl, still red-faced,
sitting on his porcelain throne like a king whose kingdom just betrayed him.
His phone rests on his knee — screen down, of course —
because every notification could be an emotional earthquake.
Karl (whispering to himself):
“If she replies again… that’s it. Something’s going on.”
In the distance he hears the soft ping of a Messenger notification.
His breath stops.
His eyes widen.
The paranoia enters the chat.
Karl jumps up — pants half up —
charging into the hallway like a man who has seen destiny…
and destiny was not to his liking.
He grabs his phone
as if he’s defusing a nuclear device
and sees…
A perfectly normal, polite comment from RoseBloom on Steef’s post.
Nothing romantic.
Nothing suspicious.
But to Karl?
The end of the world.
He storms back into the bathroom,
stares at the toilet like it personally betrayed him,
and whispers dramatically:
“I can’t… I must let this go… I must flush this feeling.”
And then —
with the power of a Shakespearean tragedy hero —
he presses the flush button.
A Final Flush that echoes through the entire house.
Symbolically flushing away all jealousy, insecurity, assumptions,
and whatever ego was still floating on top.
From the doorway, Charel watches silently and says:
“See? Everything’s gone.
Literally… and emotionally.”
Karl inhales deeply.
A moment of peace.
A moment of clarity.
A moment of masculine healing.
Until…
Ping.
And the saga begins all over again.
